PASAY 18 March 2024 – In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Office of Policy Planning and Coordination (OPPC) and in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary (OSEC), proudly hosted a bazaar entitled, "DFA National Women’s Month Bazaar Celebrating Filipino Women Entrepreneurs: EmpowHERment Market" on March 7 and 8, 2024. The event, held in the recently renovated Bulwagang Apolinario Mabini, served as a platform for Filipino women to showcase their creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The bazaar featured an array of world-class Filipino-made products, including artisanal food products, indigenous weaves, artwork, jewelry, accessories, home goods, and other handcrafted items from micro, small and medium enterprises owned and operated by talented Filipino women. The Chairperson of the Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation, Madame Pamela Louise Manalo, Chief Coordinator Bernadette Therese Fernandez, and OPPC Assistant Secretary Patrick Chuasoto, graced the occasion with their presence and inspiring remarks.

Over 300 visitors - consisting of DFA personnel, their families, as well as guests - got to enjoy shopping, exploring for unique gifts, and engaging with the entrepreneurs, during this 2-day event. To add to the festive occasion, a raffle draw was also held where 27 lucky winners got to take home carefully selected products from the vendors.

The "EmpowHERment Market" is a testament to the Department's commitment to empowering women and promoting Filipino culture. END
