PANIQUI 05 April 2024 - In celebration of National Women's Month 2024, Consular Office - Paniqui has recommenced its program of granting Courtesy Lane slots exclusively to female applicants.

The program accommodated a total of 259 applications, summarized below:

This year’s National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) has the sub-theme, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan! ”, calls for a Bagong Pilipinas where women are given equitable opportunities and not hindered by gender biases and discriminatory stereotypes. It also aims to showcase and harness the full potential of women and girls by actively engaging in and reaping the benefits of national growth and development, which supports the cause of this initiative.

The CO Paniqui led the campaign by recognizing the need of women, with the presence of the gender issue of multiple burdens causing women not to be able to make time for passport appointments on regular weekdays, which also inspired other Consular Offices to do the same campaign with the Department’s approval on conducting Saturday operations.

The office also started with a program on the first day discussing guidelines for the campaign for National Women’s Month 2024: #PurpleYourIcon, #PurpleFridays, NWM 2024 Profile Frame on Facebook, and Courtesy Lane on Saturdays for female applicants. END
