PH Embassy in Dili Launches New GAD Facility

DILI 17 April 2024 – The Embassy of the Philippines in Dili is delighted to announce the opening of its new Gender and Development (GAD) facility, featuring a changing table and nursing area. This initiative is part of the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to gender equality and the welfare of women and children.

The newly established GAD facility offers a comfortable and private space for nursing mothers, equipped with a changing table and essential amenities. It is thoughtfully designed to support mothers in caring for their infants while fulfilling consular duties or attending Embassy events.

The GAD facility’s establishment is part of the Embassy’s initiatives dedicated to promoting gender equality. It provides a practical and supportive solution for nursing mothers, ensuring that they can meet their consular responsibilities or participate in Embassy functions without compromising their infants’ care.

The introduction of the changing table and nursing area underscores the Embassy’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all community members, especially those with young children. END
