Philippines Participates in International Conference of Election Management Officials held in Moscow, Russia

12 October 2017 MOSCOW — Comelec Commissioner Al A. Parreño represented the Philippines at the international conference titled, “Contemporary Electoral Trends in the Multipolar World,” hosted by the Central Election Commission in Moscow on September 21.
Heads of election management bodies and chief executives of the statutory bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as well as representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation took part in the event, where they had the opportunity to exchange of opinions on improvement of national electoral systems and on the introduction of modern information technologies in the electoral processes.
During his stay in Moscow, Commissioner Parreño also called on Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta and Embassy officers in the evening of September 21. END
