12 October 2017 MOSCOW — The Days of Philippine Culture in Russia capped its Moscow-St. Petersburg tour with a performance at the beautiful and historic Tovstonogov Russian State Academic Bolshoi Drama Theater or “BDT” in St. Petersburg on September 29.
The concert program, attended by more than 200 Russian locals and Filipinos residing in the city, earned wild applause and standing ovations. The audience was especially impressed and moved by the nearly 2-hour long production presented by Ballet Manila, the soprano Ms. Bianca Camille Lopez, and the Philippine Women’s University – Jose Abad Santos Memorial School (PWU-JASMS) Rondalla. The Days of Philippine Culture in Russia is an event jointly organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation through its implementing arm, Rosconcert. The last Days of Philippine Culture in Russia were held in 2012 in Moscow. END
