5 December 2013 - Representatives from Learning House for Development (LHD) led by its manager and Coordinator, Mr. Khammouane Siphonesay, visited the Embassy on  November 28 to sign the condolence book for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

LHD is a network of Lao Civil Society Organizations working towards development and poverty alleviation.

Mr. Siphonesay, after signing the condolence book,  handed over the donations coming from various civil society organizations accredited to LHD.  Mr. Siphonesay conveyed the messages of support from their group following the devastation brought by typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

Vice Consul Analyn Ratonel expressed her profound appreciation for the support of Lao civil society organizations to the typhoon victims.  She noted that the Embassy is overwhelmed by the sympathy shown by the Lao people and the international community for the typhoon victims. END
