Philippines-Indonesia Business Networking Dinner at the Chancery
14 June 2017 JAKARTA — The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 29 at the Official Residence, with Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta as one of the witnesses.
The PBCI, led by Mr. Antonio Capati, is an association representing private sector interests to promote and strengthen business, economic, and cultural ties between the Philippines and Indonesia.
Under the said agreement, both parties will promote, strengthen and expand trade, economic, investment, tourism, activities, and other business relations between concerned organizations and firms. The agreement also states that the two parties shall exchange information about trade and investment and assist their members in establishing business contacts through events, conferences, study tours, trade fairs and seminars.
The Agreement signing follows the successful visit of a 40-member Indonesian business delegation led by Mr. Rosan Roeslan, Chairman of KADIN, during President Joko Widodo’s State Visit to the Philippines from 26 to 30 April 2017. During the visit, PBCI also signed a protocol of cooperation with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
