DFA Consular Office Clarin Launches Gender and Development Corner and Breastfeeding Corner
CLARIN 27 January 2025 – The DFA CO Clarin through its Gender and Development (GAD) Unit launches its recent enhancements in its facilities, designed to promote inclusivity, empowerment, and support for all passport applicants especially to women and children.
A Gender and Development (GAD) Corner has been installed in the Consular Office. This dedicated space is equipped with books, pamphlets, and other informative materials on gender equality, empowerment, and development. The GAD corner serves as a resource hub, encouraging awareness and fostering meaningful discussions on gender-related issues.
The Consular Office’s breastfeeding corner has also been upgraded with a more comfortable chair to ensure optimal support and relaxation during breastfeeding and is complemented with a side table for easy access to personal items for the benefit of mothers and their children who avail of consular services.
These improvements reflect our ongoing dedication to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment especially to women and children. END
