Doris Duke Theater, Fauw Open the 2017 Filipino Film Festival in Honolulu

13 June 2017 HONOLULU, HAWAII — Doris Duke Theater and the Filipino Association of University Women (FAUW) will hold the 2017 Filipino Film Festival at the Doris Duke Theater of the Honolulu Museum of Art from June 09 to 17.

Atty. Rhoda Yabes Alvarez, FAUW President, together with her spouse Mr. Allan Alvarez, visited the Consulate General on June 02 to request the Consulate's assistance in promoting the event. Filipino films to be screened are the following: Across the Crescent Moon, The Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery (Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis), The Woman in the Septic Tank (Ang Babae sa Septic Tank), Sunday Beauty Queen, The Sakada Series, Curiosity, Adventure and Love, and Ma’ Rosa.
