Muscat SMS

28 March 2014 - In its continued effort to enhance the delivery of consular services to the public, the SMS notification of passport release was launched by the Philippine Embassy in Muscat on March 18.

With this new service, passport applicants will be informed via SMS if their passports are ready for release. They no longer need to inquire through telephone or e-mail.

Mr. Virgilio C. Castillo, a Filipino workshop supervisor at Mercedes Benz, was very pleased upon receiving an SMS from the Embassy about the release of his passport.  Mr. Castillo, who has been in Oman for more than 30 years, commended the Embassy for its initiative and commitment to overseas Filipino workers like him.
