    18 to 24 January 2021 marks the observance of the 25th National Autism Consciousness Week pursuant to Proclamation 711 of 1996 signed by President Fidel Ramos.

    The theme adopted for this year is ​“Pilipinong May Autismo: Kakaiba, Kasali, Konektado” which intends to further 1) societal awareness on the uniqueness of Filipinos on the spectrum; 2) inclusive development in human rights, education, employment, media, among others; and 3) individual self-awareness, self-expression and feeling of belonging to a compassionate society.

    The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), along with its Foreign Service Posts, joins the nation in inspiring acceptance, accommodation and appreciation of persons on the autism spectrum in society.

23 November 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Mexico, led by Chargé d´Affaires Angelo V. Amonoy, marked the 125th birth anniversary of President Elpidio R. Quirino with the launching of a Photo Exhibit on his life and achievements on November 17 at the Embassy chancery.

The commemoration began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the recital of the Oath of Allegiance to the Flag by the Embassy personnel.

In his message, CDA Amonoy highlighted the legacy of President Quirino, particularly his achievements as a diplomat and statesman, serving the country with distinction in various capacities including as Secretary of Foreign Affairs. He urged the Embassy personnel to draw inspiration from the life and achievements of President Quirino in the fulfillment of their tasks of serving the Filipino nation overseas.

The Embassy personnel, joined by members of the Filipino community, viewed and appreciated the photo exhibit, which runs from November 17 to 30.  END
