25 March 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to LebanonLeah M. Basinang-Ruiz paid a courtesy call on Muhammad Mashnouk on Wednesday, March 12, to convey to him the Philippines’ felicitations and best wishes on his appointment as Minister of Environment and also to brief him on the status of Philippines-Lebanon relations now on its 67th year.

 

Ambassador Ruiz informed the Minister that the Embassy is working closely and actively with the members of the Filipino community in Lebanon numbering almost 30,000 in initiating sociocultural activities that aim to enhance appreciation and mutual understanding between the two peoples.

 

Minister Mashnouk welcomed the Embassy’s initiatives and expressed his readiness to support them in accordance with his Ministry’s mandate. END
