PHL Ambassador Hosts Appreciation Dinner for UPLB Chorale Ensemble

18 July 2017 SINGAPORE — Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales on Tuesday, July 11, hosted an appreciation dinner in honour of the UP Los Baños Chorale Ensemble (UPLBCE) and for the supporters of the scholarship program of the UP Alumni Association Singapore (UPAAS). The UPLBCE won the grand prix at the recently-concluded tenth Orientale Concentus International Chorale Festival and the 4th Singapore International Chorale Festival at the Esplanade Singapore. The UPAAS supported and accommodated the UPLBCE choristers during their stay in Singapore. The appreciation dinner also saw the presence of a delegation of officials from the League of Vice Governors in the Philippines (LVGP) and the Commission on Higher Education. The group is in Singapore to undertake a foreign academic visit, which is part of the Education and Training Capability Building Seminar of CHED for the LVGP in collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
