Honolulu18 December 2013 - The Vietnamese community in Hawaii, Free Vietnam Association, turned over cheques for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda amounting to 3,775.00 US Dollars on December 16 at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu.

Consul General Julius D. Torres received the cheques from Mr. Paul Nguyen of the Free Vietnam Association in Hawaii.

The Consul General also thanked the association for the generosity which will give hope for the families of the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. He also reassured the continuing good collaboration and friendship of the Philippine Consulate and the Vietnamese people in Hawaii.  END
