06 June 2017 MOSCOW- The Philippine Embassy in Moscow met with the leaders of the Filipino Community on June 04 at the Embassy to thank them for helping in the preparations for the visit of President Rodrigo R. Duterte and to plan for the celebration of the 119th anniversary of Philippine Independence.
The celebration of the 119th year of Philippine Independence will be held at the Embassy on Sunday, 11 June 2017. The Filcom leaders volunteered to help the Embassy set up its grounds and also offered to take charge of certain parts of the celebration.
The following Filipino organizations were represented during the meeting: Abra Highlanders, Atin 'To, Baguio Support Group, Bayanihan ng Bayan ni Juan, Filipino Association in Russia (FAR), Filipino Volunteer Leaders Association in Russia (FVLAR), Lahing Kayumanggi, Kabayan, and Samahan ng mga Magkakaibigan at Barkada (SMB).
