Leading Food Retailer in Russia Interested in Ph Fruits, Other Products

09 August 2017 — Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta visited the headquarters of Azbuka Vkusa on August 04 to present a taste of the Philippines’ potential contribution to a growing Russian market and met with Ms. Nataliya Voronova, the company’s Product Manager for Fruits, and Mr. Anton Berko, Lead Import Manager for Fruits & Vegetables.

The Ambassador discussed briefly the potential of high-value Philippine fruits such as mango and papaya to be introduced to the Russian market, as well as various other food products. Ms. Voronova and Mr. Berko said that Azbuka Vkusa is very interested in exploring cooperation with Philippine companies that are ready to bring their products to Russia.

Azbuka Vkusa is leading the Russian food retail market in developing a chain of grocery stores that focus on clients which seek premium goods. The company currently has 10 large-scale “markets”, 22 minimarkets, three specialized “shop-in-shops”, and an online store (av.ru).
